Science Futures at the Winchester Science Centre
Description
Science Futures is a Universities Week collaboration between some of the higher education institutions closest to the Winchester Science Centre. Visitors coming to the Centre will find a range of extra activities and talks in addition to the Centre's usual programme. Organisations involved so far include the University of Southampton, Southampton Solent University, Bournemouth University, the University of Portsmouth, the University of Reading, the Solent Forum and SEPnet (South East Physics Network). Research topics include prosthetics, the vision of top-class athletes, augmented reality, advances in cancer research, and polymers. Visitors will also have a unique opportunity to tour the Centre with a science-explainer, investigate some take-home physics and explore the Universities' temporary interactive exhibits set up for the day.
