The Literary World of the Paston Family
The Pastons are best known today for the extensive collection of letters and other documents which survive, and which provide fascinating clues to the importance of books in their continual struggle for influence. Following an illustrated talk detailing who was who in the Paston family and their network and how they related to the literary culture of the time, we will spend some time reading extracts from the texts that mattered to the Pastons.
