To celebrate Adult Learners’ Week The Open University and The Hawth present a day of exciting and inspirational workshops that will help you explore the full range of what The Open University has to offer. Workshops suitable for all the family will be running throughout the day in: Science, Theatre, Arts, Languages, Psychology and Health and Society. An Open University tutor will be on hand to answer your questions about courses, study methods and other aspects of learning with The Open University. You’ll be able to enjoy a free workshop from TV’s Rough Science and a theatre performance from Pitchy Breath Theatre Company. The Open University offers hundreds of courses, including a range of introductory courses to ease you back into study. So come along. There’s bound to be something to inspire you

Free workshops 11.30 to 12.30 and also at 14.30 to 15.30 • Lights, Camera, Languages: Using drama to explore new language skills • Getting to Know You; Getting to Know All about You: An introduction to the fascinating study of Psychology • Darwin and Evolution: Using The Open University’s interactive “hands on” kit you can explore Science and Evolution in a whole new light • How Are You Doing? A dynamic workshop introducing you to the study of Health and Society 12.30 to 14.30 • Acting and Performance for All: A professional theatre director and Open University tutor will introduce the fun and creativity of acting and performance. (Beginners very welcome) • Openings at The Open University: a drop-in workshop to explore opportunities at The Open University starting with Openings or other short courses 13.30 to 14.30 • Mike Bullivant from TV’s Rough Science presents the highs and lows of doing Science in exotic locations, including amusing outtakes from the popular TV series 16.00 to 17.00 • Lights, Camera, Languages: Using Drama to explore new language skills • Is it easy going Green?
