Description

The Campaign for Drawing is holding a FREE one-day digital drawing workshop at City Lit in central London. The workshop will be led by top international cartoonists Pat Blower and Matt Buck. You will learn how to draw digitally with an amazing pressure-sensitive pen and sketch directly onto an LCD tablet with hundreds of tools and millions of colours at your disposal for a fantastic drawing experience! State-of-the-art digital drawing tablets are being provided by Wacom. Pat and Matt will guide you through steps to create your own unique digital cartoon character. You will learn how to develop a wide range of facial expressions, how to express bodily movement and explore some of the amazing ways of laying down colour. You will also learn how to make copies of your work as you progress so that you can save versions of your work. By the end of the day you will have a basic command of the digital drawing tablet and will leave with a number of drawings either saved to a memory stick or output as prints.
